Hi,
If you are not receiving gate access notifications or calls from the directory when a guest or vendor arrives, please consider the following:
- Have you given the SAGE app permission to send notifications?
- On your device, go to the Settings app and search for SAGE. You should then see a section for Notifications, access those settings, and allow permission for the SAGE app to send notifications.
- In Notifications, set Banner Style to Persistent, and turn Sounds on for an audio notification (your device should not be in silent mode).
- Are you currently signed into the SAGE app?
- SAGE sends "Push Notifications" similar to the Gmail or Ring app. These are not text messages. You must be authenticated (signed in) to receive the messages. The app does not have to be open as long as you remain signed in.
- Have you tried signing out of the app and then back in to refresh your data?
- Since SAGE uses encrypted tokens for secure authentication, it is recommended to re-authenticate by signing out from time to time. By doing so, you will refresh the app data, and this may resolve issues with receiving notifications.
Lastly. There are certain situations where a visitor or vendor may arrive who has more than one friend or customer within your community. This could be a pool or landscape company that services multiple homes, for example. In these situations where one homeowner allows access, they will receive the notification, but you may not.
